Meet Sabine, Our Cook!

Sabine Lehmann

We are so happy to welcome our new cook, Sabine Lehmann, to Meals on Wheels! Sabine officially began her duties on January 30, 2017 after being a kitchen volunteer with us for about 6 months. Born in Germany, Sabine taught herself to cook and bake as a child, and later worked in a restaurant there. After moving to the U.S., she continued to share her love of cooking as a chef at a Bed and Breakfast in Cazenovia.

Married with 4 children, Sabine loves nature and the outdoors, especially taking long walks. She also enjoys music, knitting, sewing, reading, and traveling - which enables her to get to know different cultures.

Sabine is a very giving person who cares about those in her community and wants to make a difference in their lives, so bringing her culinary talents to Meals on Wheels gives her a wonderful outlet to do that! She also is enjoying getting to know and work with all our dedicated MOW volunteers!

Kitchen Cabinets need some TLC This offer is for ANY volunteer, kitchen or driver who might have some extra time to spare. We are looking for people to adopt a cabinet or two and give it a thorough cleaning. Terry will be purchasing shelf liner paper. For further details, ask Terry. If you can help with this project, please let Terry know.
